Q and A

Question

Can I use moringa?

Good morning,

I would like to know if hiv positive person like me can use moringa oleifera. Is moringa not dangerous since I\'m taking drugs (Atroiza)?

Thank you

Answer

Hi

Moringa sounds like an antioxidant supplement (whether food, pill, oil etc). There are unlikely to be drug interactions – although it is not likely that this has been tested formally.

However, i-Base always emphasise that unless a doctor prescribes a vitamin supplement because of low levels, there is no evidence to show supplements will improve your HIV.

Hi Mercy, is your husband on HIV medication? If he has an undetectable viral load he will not be able to pass on HIV. This would remove any risk to yourself or your baby.

My husband is HIV positive and am HIV negative. we use condoms during sex. Now I want to have a baby what shall I do to prevent my self and the child from being infected with the virus?

Hi, wherever you are, in all the answers and suggestions I don’t see any that would help a patient like me?
