   Hi Mahlodi.

   Its common not to have seroconversion symptoms when infected with HIV. Some people get a lot, whereas other don’t have any at all. Since being diagnosed have you been able to start treatment?

   Hi Kuran,

   I’m sorry to hear you don’t have ARVs. Is that because there is no access to HIV treatment where you live? Please let us know and we’ll try and find out if there’s a local organisation that can help.

   Unfortunately herbal supplements, such as Moringa, do not stop HIV from damaging your body. But a balanced diet which includes vitamins, minerals and herbs can help with general good health.

   i dont have ARV can i use Moringa as a treatment so to prevent effects of HIV on my body.

   Hi Betty,
   As it says above, Moringa sounds like an antioxidant supplement (whether food, pill, oil etc). There are unlikely to be drug interactions – although it is not likely that this has been tested formally.

   However, i-Base always emphasise that unless a doctor prescribes a vitamin supplement because of low levels, there is no evidence to show supplements will improve your HIV.

   Hi Nto, it is fine to take multivitamins with ART. Some HIV drugs need the vitamins to be taken at different times (i.e. separately to the multivitamin). This is only if your combination includes an integrate inhibitor (i.e. raltegravir, dolutegravir or elvitegravir).
