I did my cd4 count yesterday after 6 months
Results are:-
Cd4 count :- 631
Cd4%:- 21%

Am I doing well on my treatment ? Doctor asked me to stop taking Bactrian antibiotics as he feels I don’t need it anymore.

I am worried as my weight has remained 63 kgs all over this period I have not gained nor lost . I really want to gain my weight . Please help

Answer

Thanks for getting in touch.

You’re doing great. Your CD4 is high, and this rise has happened in a short time. As long as your viral load is undetectable, (which it should be) then your HIV is under control.

With regards to your weight, this isn’t really something I can comment on. Some peoples weight remains static, whereas for others they gain weight. Talking to a doctor about this may help.

    Hi Faolady,

What medication are you taking? If its contains efavirenz this sort of feeling can last for a few weeks. Please see here: http://i-base.info/guides/1561 However, if its an issue please talk to your doctor.
