We get asked this quesiton a lot. I wish that there was an easy answer, however there isn’t. How people go about telling people about their status varies. If you see this relationship going somewhere, then being honest is important (this is of course my personal opinion).
If your HIV is under control, so if your viral load is undetectable you could share with your boyfriend the following: http://i-base.info/u-equals-u/ However, you may just want to try and gauge what his opinion is about HIV.
The simple fact is, some people don’t have an issue with their partners being positive, whereas others do. But to know then you need to talk about. The important thing is to understand that you aren’t defined by HIV. And if this man can’t accept you for who you are, then someone else will.
Im hiv positive and on meds for 6 months noone knows expect me bt my boyfriend is negative.im afraid to tell him how can I do it because I’m very stressed and he wants to marry me.please help
