    Hi Effy,

You’re doing really well. You started ARVs with a very high viral load, within 2 months it’s fallen to 400, this is great. Before you know it, it’ll be undetectable. Once this happens your HIV will be under control.

With regards to your CD4 count, this is also good. A rise from 80 to 201 in 2 months is excellent progress. In time it should rise even higher.

You’re on medication so you’re already doing the best thing possible for your health and your HIV.

    Hello!

I’ve been diagnosed as hiv+ about three months ago. Unfortunately I was late to get diagnosed since my viral load was over 12 million and my cd4 cell count was only 80. Theoratically I was at the aids stage but luckily they couldn’t find any other infections and I was okay I guess.

Today I got my test results after 2 months using doltegravir + truvada and also bactrim as profylaxis. My viral load dropped to 400 copies and my cd4 cell count is now 210. I’m still afraid to get sick as IRIS is still an issue for me to afraid of.

    Am I doing okay?
What can I do to get higher cd4 count results?
