Question

Would steroid inhalers affect my HIV test?

Would using a steroid inhaler for asthma delay or inhibit HIV antibody production within the 3-month window period? If I tested at 3.5 months after exposure with Architect Combo Ag/ab (antigen and antibody) test would this be conclusive?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

I believe I answered the first part of your question in a previous question.  Any combined antigen and antibody test will be accurate 28 days after exposure so at 3 and a half months this test will be conclusive.
