Question

How often can I have sex?

Hi!
I have a question.
Some health workers advise HIV+ people, especially those on treatment, not to have sex. The reason they give is sex decreases the CD4 count. My questions is is this advice right? How often should an HIV+ person who is on treatment have sex?

Answer

You can have sex as often as you and your partner wish. Yours or his/her CD4 count will not be affected by the frequency of your sexual contacts.
