WHO guidelines for use of ARVs in resource-poor settings

On 1 December 2003, the World Health Organisation launched the 3 by 5 Initiative, a new effort to scale-up antiretroviral therapy in the developing world, with an initial target of reaching 3 million people by 2005.

Guidelines for use of ARVs in resource-poor settings were also published.
