Federal Court Partially Blocks DEI Executive Orders Enforcement.

Rescission package

This needs to be challenged in Congress – there is a reasonable chance that this might be achieved.

Overall: much technical talk of spending/funding mechanisms and of US political processes that are mainly of interest and relevance to US colleagues challenging the administration in the US.

There are limited ways that people in Europe can help except send messages of support. Nevertheless, further details are available to CHANGE members on the website.

NIH staff and biomedical community sound the alarm about the agency’s politicisation and funding slowdown – i.e. some people are fighting back:
“In an unusual act of public protest, more than 340 scientists and staff at the National Institutes of Health today released a statement charging NIH officials and their superiors with politicising science.”
