I took one of my girlfriend’s meds, will they affect me?

I had sex with my girlfriend yesterday and afterwards she told me she was HIV positive and she was taking Atroiza tablets. I took one of her tablets too thinking that i was reducing the risk of getting infected. Are the any effects that the drug will have on me?

The one pill you took should not affect you in any way. because your girlfriend is on treatment it is unlikely that any transmission happened.
A pill called Truvada is sometime use to prevent HIV transmission. You do not say where you are from but you may be able to buy this in your country. This is called PrEP. If you cannot access it you can buy it online. Using condoms also prevents HIV transmission.
