Hi, I have been out of treatment for three months. How do i re start my treatment again?
Answer
Hi
Please either contact your old doctor or clinic, or if this is not possible, register at a new clinic.
It is okay to tell the doctor everything that happened and then just to restart.
If your viral load was undetectable when you stopped, you can restart with the same combinations.

Hi Nigma, thanks – and I am sorry you are having this trouble. You didn’t say which country you are in but sometimes this can be a difficult problem. If you were in South Africa though, and were getting meds there before, you should still be able to get them free.
If not, then yes, it is okay to just start the Luvigen again now.
You will need to have a long-term plan for getting meds though,
Are you still able to get CD4 and/or viral load tests for monitoring?
Hi there please help me I stopped take my arvs for a month now due to financial problem. I’m a foreigner here and we are chased out of hospital to collect treatment and can’t afford doctor and private hospital so now I have managed to buy two bottles of Luvigen. Is it okay to take them im nit sexually active
Hi Sipho, I am sorry to hear about the symptoms you are experiencing. Have you had any recent CD4 count/viral load testing? and have you been given any specific treatment for the white patches in your mouth?
It’s been 7months on my meds but I’m still having hiv symptoms that I had before, white patches in my mouth, muscle ache, rash on my forehead that is not itchy, hairline loss ,and I longer eat food that I used to eat be4 I became sick,cz it makes me vomit.
