Its actaully quit difficult to contract HIV. However, it does of course happen. As your partners diagnoses is resent, she may still have a detectable viral load. The higher a persons viral load, the more changes are that you will transmit. To prevent the risk of transmission, your partner will need to be on medication. If you are worried about the risk, then you will need to use a condom. If you are concerned that you have contracted HIV, you will need to test.
