Q and A

Question

I’m positive, is it possible that my husband can be negative?

I’ve been with my husband for 5 years. We’ve always had sex without using condoms. I’ve just found out that I’m positive, but he says he’s negative, is this possible?

Answer

Thanks for getting in touch.

Its very possible that your husband could be negative, whilst you are positive. For more info about this please see Q5 here:

You’ve said that you’ve just found out, are you able to get any support? Have you began to take medication?

Yes your husband can be negative. This virus are difficult to catch sometimes. But having said that it’s very advisable for your husband to go for a blood test. Only blood test can conclude either he is positive or negative.
