25 June 2021. Related: All topics, Travel.
‘m 25 years old, HIV+. I have received treatment regularly and founded undetected. My boyfriend is a local resident in Australia, we are planning to get married in the near future. So is it possible for me to immigrate to Australia?
Answer
Thanks for getting in touch.
For positive people wishing to emigrate to Australia, the situation can be complex. The Australians are very particular about who they let into their country as the following explains: https://www.hivtravel.org/Default.aspx?PageId=143&CountryId=23
The best thing to do is to get in touch with your local Australian Embassy, or even an immigration lawyer, they should be able to advice you.
