Hi, I had on demand PrEP. I took the first dose and 1 hour later I had oral sex (I have a blood blister in my mouth) . The next dose was and hour after this. Do I have to Worry ?
Answer
Hi, how are you doing?
Oral sex carries almost no risk of HIV transmission. Even mouth sores/blisters, saliva has an antiviral property that works well against HIV. Do you know the status of the person you had sex with?
Although the pre dose is important, there is still protection offered if you are late with the second dose. Have you taken the following 2 doses? This guide will help explain the process of on-demand PrEP.
Oral sex is already very low risk. The protection offered by the on-demand PrEP will be beneficial. There is not a need to worry.

Hi Nicole, receiving oral sex isn’t a risk for HIV, with or without a condom and with or without PrEP.
PrEP also protects you from all sort of sex, with or without a condom.
Condoms also protect you, with or without PrEP.
You are at zero risk
I use a condom for all my sexual relations, in addition to this, I am a Prep 2-1-1 user, is it a risk of HIV if a partner gives me oral sex?
