Can having COVID delay the development and detecting of HIV antibodies, affecting the test?
Answer
Hi, how are you doing?
No, COVID cannot delay the development of and detection of HIV antibodies.
An HIV test will still be accurate in the same testing windows regardless of a COVID infection.

Hi,
What is the window period of hiv2?
My main concern is HIV 2. I am suffering with peripheral neuropathy from 45 days of exposure.
My 93,125 days HIV duo test came back negative. 151 days HIV 1 RNA PCR and HIV 2 RNA PCR came back negative but as HIV 2 RNA PCR test can only detect the virus which has >100 copies/ml, are the above mentioned tests concluaive for HIV 2?
