Hi, my name is Ntombi im 40 years old and I’m HIV+. I’m on Acriptega. I started ARVs in 2021 in August and i’ve gained so much weight since then. I was wondering if I can consume diet products?

How much weight have you gained? Acriptega contains dolutegravir. This is a drug that has been associated with increasing appetite – meaning you want to eat more.
How is your general lifestyle? Being sedentary and eating are both going to contribute to weight gain. More so when combined with taking dolutegravir.
As in any case, to lose weight it requires eating less calories and doing more activity/exercise. There are no specific diet products you need to be taking.
