I am worried I have been reinfected?

Hi, i have advacned HIV (AIDS) but no OIs. I had sex with my boyfriend who is hiv positive but he didn’t cum and we didn’t use a condom. I’m on TLD. Will i get reinfection?

i developed this cough within 3 days and I’m scared does this mean i’m reinfected?

Is your boyfriend taking HIV treatment? If yes, then if his viral load is undetectable, you don’t have to worry about reinfection.

Also, if you are used to having sex together without condoms, then you are already likely to have the same virus, reinfection is also not a worry.

Finally, even in other circumstances – ie if he has a detectable viral load – this is still not reinfection. This is becasue these symptoms are too soon after having sex for this to be reinfection.
