Can I take Pepto-Bismol and ART 6 hours apart?

Even though I was told that I couldn’t take Pepto-Bismol with my HIV meds, is it ok to take them separately from each other? Like 6 hours apart?

Yes. You can do this. It is not recommended to take them together as Pepto-Bismol could reduce how much ART is absorbed. Taking them separately prevents this happening.
The easiest way to avoid interaction is to take them on opposite ends of the day e.g., if you take your ART in the morning, take Pepto-Bismol in the evening. Though doing so 6 hours apart is long enough to prevent interaction.
