I took 3 ARVs by mistake…

I mistakenly took 2 ARVs after taking one tablet from the same ARV but one hour apart. This makes it 3 ARV tablets. Is it okay for me? Am scared.

Hi, how are you doing?

You are going to be okay. Having a one-off occasion of taking 3 ARVs is not going to cause any problems.

You may experience more side effects than normal. This is because of the higher level of drug in your body. These should go away in a day or two as the drug level in your body returns to normal.

If you notice the side effects do not go away, or they are having an effect on your daily life please speak with your doctor/pharmacist.
