Does it matter what time I take my ARVs (ART)?

Hi there
HIV meds are generally best to take at roughly the same time every day. This is just because the routine is a good way to remember.
However, some meds are better in the morning or evening to reduce the risk of side effects.
Integrase inhibitors like dolutegravir are generally better to take in the morning.
Efavirenz is better to take at night.
If you don’t get any side effects yo can chose when you take them.
Once your viral load is undetectable, it doesn’t matter iff you are a few hours early or late. This means it is probably ok to take them any time during the day, although the recommendation is every 24 hours.
