Question
Can some HIV treatments increase blood presure?

Answer
Although HIV treatment in general doesn’t increase blood pressure (the D:A:D study is the largest study to look at this), some protease inhibitors can increase blood pressure.
If you have other risk factors for increased blood pressure, make sure your doctor monitors for this, and provides you appropriate advice on lifestyle changes, and medication if appropriate.
