Question:
I am a male. I had unprotected sex with a woman that I paid to have sex with me. I knew she was HIV positive. I took HIV tests at 3 months and at 11 months after the exposure and they were both negative. Do I have to take more tests?
Answer
Thank  you for your questions.
If you have not continued to expose yourself to HIV, then you should not have to take anymore tests. Please see follow this link for more information.
You cannot assume that all sex workers are HIV positive. Do you know for definite that she was HIV positive?
If you have had 2 negative HIV test then you do not have HIV. The Western blot test is accurate. You do not need to test again.
I am a male, I had a sex with a HIV positive prostitute 1 year ago. From that time onwards I did not touch anyone. Then 3 months later and 11 month later I took a Western blot test, both of them came back negative. Please give me a humble reply. Thank you. Is the Western blot accurate?
