Can you please give me information on the right procedure in getting pregnant when you are HIV positive?
Answer
Thank you for your question.
There are different options as regards getting pregnant when you are HIV positive.
The options take into consideration whether your partner is also HIV positive or whether they are HIV negative.
As you have not indicated this in your email, I am sending you our general guide on HIV, pregnancy and women’s health. The guide includes detailed information on the various options available. Please follow this link to this guide to HIV and pregnancy for more information.

Hi Venge, the easiest way to do this is for your wife to be on HIV treatment and then you conceive naturally. This study shows why this is safe.

Planning to have baby
Hi Priya – I am not sure from your comment whether you are both HIV positive or just your husband. Either ways you can still have children together. If you re still HIV negative, then your husband needs to be on treatment for about 3-6 months before you try for a baby. Treatment will also protect your baby if you are also positive.
passed day my husband had hiv and now i tested even i ot he same but i want to become mother so plz help
