Q and A

Question

I am newly diagnosed. Can I have children?

I am a 30 year old young man. I found out am HIV positive in 2011.
My question is, is it possible to have children again and how can I have them?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. It is good to know that you
are moving on and are thinking about your future in terms of having
children.

It is certainly possible for you to have children. Many young HIV positive
men in your position have gone on to have healthy HIV negative children.

There are a number of ways in which you can do this. The options take into
consideration whether your partner is also HIV positive or not.

For more information on the options available to you, Please follow this

Good luck with your plans.

Best wishes
