Q and A

Question

What is more probable in terms of passing HIV?

Is it easier for a passive man to get HIV from an active man, rather than an active man to get HIV from a passive man?

Answer

It is more probable the passive (recepient) partner to get HIV and the explanation is fairly simple. The tissue area that is susceptible to HIV is larger in the passive partner (anus/rectum) during sex, than that of the active (giving) partner (the head of the penis). In addition, the passive partner is usually exposed to the sperm, unlike the active partner.

Having said all of that, there are numerous other conditions that need to be taken into account when we talk about risk and chances.
