Am I infected?

I’ve had unprotected sex on 14/08/08 in Africa when I was on holiday. It was very brief and I have had a flu like symptom about three weeks after this incident. I think about it almost all day and all night. I have tested negative eight weeks later and tested again on 18/11/08. The result came negative again, but I have many symptoms such as sores in various muscles and not sure about lymph nodes. I think I have swollen lymph nodes. I am really worried and stressed. Started drinking and also smoking. Please help. I am not sure what to do or where to go. My doctor tells me everything is good but where do all these pains come from? I still have them.

If your tests are negative and you have not been exposed to HIV since, then you ae HIV-negative.
The other problems that you have are either a result of your stress or if they are any other condition, then it needs to be seen by a doctor.
