Shall I continue treatment during the first trimester?

If a woman is already taking treatment for HIV while she is planning to get pregnant, shall she continue the treatment during the first trimester?
Answer
If your health requires treatment, then you should continue the treatment by all means. Some medications, however, are not particularly good to take during the first trimester of pregnancy, such as efavirenz and perhaps ddI, etc.
