What is the effect of drinking alcoholic drinks (lager) on my medication (Truvada and nevirapine)?

Alcohol does not affect directly the levels of Truvada and nevirapine.

However, if you drink more than 3-4 units (for men) and 2-3 units (for women) per day, then you risk developing conditions like liver scarring, etc. In the case of lager, 3-4 units will be a pint, a pint and 1/2.

In addition, when people drink more and get drunk, there is a chance that they miss doses and this is problematic, as may lead to developing resistance.

Hence, everything in moderation :) !
