Q and A

Question

I was an hour late taking Kivexa

I am currently taking Raltegravir twice a day and Kivexa once a day. I take the Raltegravir and Kivexa at 10pm and Raltegravir at 10am.

A couple of weeks ago, I took Raltegravir at 10pm and somehow forgot to take the Kivexa at the same time and ended up by taking this later at 11pm.

Obviously I have been and should be taking them both together at the same time. By this once time of taking them an hour apart, will this cause me any problems?

Answer

Hello,

Thank-you for your email. Being late by an hour occasionally will not make a difference to your treatment. Although it is important to try to take your meds at the same time everyday an hour or so either side of the planned time is unlikely to cause any problems.

Other than this, how are you getting on with treatment?
