We are both positive, can we have a baby?

I am HIV positive and my patner too,we want to have a baby. We are not on ARVs because our CD4 counts are above 350,can we have a healthy baby?

Thanks for your email. It should be fine for you and your partner to try and get pregnant. In some situations there might be a small risk connected to having unprotected sex. Please follow this link for more information about getting pregnant when you are both positive.
If she does get pregnant it will be important for the woman to take ARVs to protect your baby from being HIV positive.
