Q and A

Question

Can people with HIV travel to Russia?

Answer

Hi,

Thanks for your email.

According to HIVrestrictions.org entry into Russia is restricted for people living with HIV. No HIV testing is required for short-term tourist stays (up to 3 months) to Russia. For multiple entry visas an HIV-test is required and a negative test is required for long-term stays of 3 months or more.

Please see that site for more information and for any changes to this.

    Hi Ndina,

Please see the above link. Its also important that you don’t miss two weeks of meds.

I am 28 years from Namibia, and I am traveling to Russia for 2weeks, however I’m HIV positive and I am taking my medication here in Namibia is it possible for me to take my tables just for 2weeks?
