Q and A

Question

Can I take Tribuss, Centrum and Selenium together?

Hi I tested HIV positive in November 2011 and my CD4 count is now 334.

I was given Tribuss for treatment and Centrum and I was always using Selenium.

Is it safe to take these three tablets at once?

Answer

Hi,

Thanks for your email.

There are no drug interactions expected between these medications so you would not expect any problems from using them together. It is always a good idea, though, to make sure that your doctor is aware of any medications, supplements or alternative therapies you are using.

    Hi Patric,

The only way to increase your CD4 count is to use HIV treatment (ART). Please see this Q&A for more info.

Are you taking ART at the moment? Please let us know what meds you’re taking. And if you have access to your viral load and CD4 count results, please tell us what they are.

    Hi Zonke,

Tribuss is a 3-in-1 medication, therefore its not necessary to use also nervirapine. Your doctor should know this. Its safe to use multivitamins with tribuss.
