How come my girlfriend and baby are still negative?

Hi there am 27 years old male. When i went to clinic for check up i found myself positive. My girlfriend was negative and now we had a baby boy and they are still negative. So how cum becoz my cd4 was 290?

Even though it is tough to find out you are positive, it is good that you went for the test.
This means that you can protect your girlfriend in the future. If you are already on treatment this will already dramatically reduce the risk.
Your girlfriend has just been lucky. Sometimes HIV is transmitted from just one time and sometimes it takes many times.
I hope everything goes well for you and your family in the future. Treatment means you should be able to have a long and active life together.
