Is it ok to skip taking your meds?

My boyfriend is 40yrs old and he doesn’t take his meds everyday,he is saying the tribus meds makes him sick so he is not taking them everyday and he is developing some pimples on his body.What’s the dangerous of not taking his meds everyday?

Its not possible for me to say what the pimples are,or why your boyfriend has them. This is something that he’ll need to talk to a doctor about.
With regards to missing meds, this isn’t recommended. ARV’s need to be taken daily for them to be effective. If someone doesn’t adhere to their meds they risk developing resistance to their medication. Their HIV is also unlikely to be controlled.
If your boyfriend finds Tribus difficult to take then there are other options available. This is something that he’ll need to talk to his doctor about. Are you able to suggest this to him?
