I’m having issues with my periods, is Atripla the reason?
Answer
Thanks for getting in touch.
Atripla is not known to have any impact on a woman’s periods (menstrual cycle).
However, changes in your periods can be caused by lots of other things. These can affect both HIV positive and HIV negative women.
This detailed article from Catie has a much longer discussion about HIV and menstrual changes.

Hi Karman,
If your viral load is undetectable your wife doesn’t need to use PrEP. This is because your wife won’t be at risk. Please see here: http://i-base.info/u-equals-u/
my wife eat prep or not for negative baby when my viral load is undetectable
Hi Kamran,
It’s a good idea to talk to your wife and doctor about having a baby. But here’s the guide to HIV pregnancy and women’s health for more info.

Hi Sadiq,
i-Base is an HIV treatment information service. So unfortunately we can’t help on this problem about telling your wife your HIV status.
However, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor. They might be able to give you support and advice.

Hi Sadiq,
