Question

I’m positive, which countries can I work in?

I’m looking for a teaching job abroad but I am hiv positive. Which countries can I get a work visa for without medical examinations?

Answer

Thanks for getting in touch.

Please see the following link:  http://www.hivtravel.org/  Here you’ll find the countries that don’t have an issue with positive people, as well as the ones that do. Your status won’t be an issue in the EU or the States.

Hello Dianah and thanks for getting in touch.

The UK doesn’t have a work restriction depending on HIV status.

We only specialise in HIV treatment though so kindly check here for more information:

Hi Seb, thanks – and good to hear about your plans. It sounds like there are two things you meds to check. One is to make sure that the country that you want to work in doesn’t have any issues with work and entry visa’s relating to HIV. The second is to check that you would still be able to get treatment when there. Try this site:
