What is safe sex if my partner is HIV-positive?

I am a man and my partner is HIV positive. Please advise me on what kind of precaution do I have to take during making love including kissing?
Answer
Using a condom every time you have sex is really important. Keep in mind that oral sex can also lead to HIV infection. Some people use flavoured condoms for oral sex.
The chances of infection are higher if the receptive person has bleeding gums or tiny ulcers in the mouth. This can increase the risk of infection during deep kisses as well, but only if both people have the same problem. Kissing is generally safe because HIV is not active in saliva. Brushing the teeth can increase any risk as gums can bleed more. Chewing gum is an easy and safe way to have fresh breath.
