Answer
Over the last month more than 900 cases of monkeypox (MPX) have been reported globally. This includes more than 200 cases in the UK.
A few examples of ulcers are included below. Please click the picture to open larger view.
Hopefully the name of this infection will also be changed soon. MPX is currently adding to stigma. It is also not accurate, as different animals are much more commonly affected.
