Will the flu affect my blood work?

I’m just getting over the flu. I have blood work scheduled 36 hours from now. Will it affect my lab results?

Your blood work is not going to significantly change – if at all. It is still best to have your blood work done when initially planned.
An infection may temporarily change your viral load and CD4 count but not to a degree to be concerned. If this result is much different than expected the test will be done again.
