Is it safe to switch from Atripla to dolutegravir?

Hello. From 2013 I was on med Atripla and until now I am undetectable. But now I am talking Atripla but it is expired on February 2023.
Doctors said to start Dolutegravir (Lamivudine+ Emricitabine). But I am afraid maybe this will not work and the virus can multiply.
Whats your opinion or experience?

This is a common switch and it is good that your doctor has recommended this.
I understand your concern about switching however this is a switch that is very commonly done and it does not risk you losing your undetectable status.
Dolutegravir is a newer drug and combinations including this drug have fewer side effects that Atripla. The two drugs work as well as each other. The reason for switching is reduced side effects and people generally tolerating the medication better.
