Question of oral sex risk with a fissured tongue
6 November 2006. Related: All topics, HIV transmission.
I have a fissured tongue and I kissed a guy’s cock and it had precum on it, and I spat it out. Later I jacked him off and he came on my hand. Later I noticed I had small cuts on my hand that didn’t sting when wiped with ethanol. I noticed he had nodular Karposi’s sarcoma. What are my chances of having HIV?
Answer
In these ambiguous circumstances it is easier to just have an HIV test in a couple of months time. Your risk sounds very low, even if your parter was HIV positive.
If he was on HIV treatment then any risk is likely to be even lower – though I think it is very difficult to diagnose any HIV-related symptoms and you may have been mistaken in this,
I’m not sure what a ‘fissured tongue’ is, but you may want to seek medical advice for this. If it means that you have cuts in your mouth then it would be safer not to have oral sex until they are healed, as you could catch HIV this way.
