Are tests accurate if carried out by a social worker?

I had an unprotected sex in September 2007. On January 2008, I tested negative from finger prick rapid test together with my partner. I would got over worry about HIV if the test was from a medical professional, but the person who did the test was a social worker in mental health department.
Since then I developed symptoms like swolen lypmth nodes, muscle joint aches, white spots on my lips, had vomiting one day. I am extremely worried that the result could be false negative?
What should i do to stop worrying?

One of the benefits of rapid tests is that they are easier to use and produce results more quickly. They have been developed for many other sexually transmitted diseases. Because you waited 3 months between the possible exposure and testing, you do not need to re-test.
Your symptoms do NOT sound like HIV, but as with any symptoms this is something you need to speak to a doctor about.
