Will the test show positive now?

I have seroconversion symptoms after unprotected sex 8 weeks ago. I was wondering if I get tested now whether the test will show positive?
Answer
This depends on the test, but most ‘4th generation’ tests that look for antigens (bits of virus) and antibodies (your immune response to the virus) are sensitive after 3-4 weeks (if you are really positive, of course). There is more information on testing and types of tests here.
