Q and A

Question

Would the test be conclusive?

If a male had unprotected sex with a female whose background was unknown in July 2004 and then had a test for HIV in June 2005 and the test came back negative, would this be conclusive or would there be the need for another test?

Answer

The test systems that are used nowadays should be conclusive by the time you mentined in your question. At the same time, we advise everybody with an active sexual life to get tested regularly, say every six months.
