Q and A

Question

Shall my friend use Tetrasil and Imusil?

Hi.
I have stumbled upon your site searching for some information that will help my friend. He was diagnosed with HIV about 2 years ago and he has started medication late last year.

The drugs Tetrasil or Imusil came up as I was doing my research. They say it has a compound that when given through IV to an HIV patient, will reduce the VL to undetectable level or even eliminate it altogether.

There’s not much information about this drug here in our country, and how we can get hold of it, and how to get a doctor or chemist to extract that compound?

Any help on this area will be deeply appreciated.

Answer

Tetrasil is advertised as a ‘miraculous’ ointment that can cure almost anything. I could not find a single medical scientific study that proves it can help with HIV.

Same goes for Imusil, although I found a write up that somebody donated 6 injections for testing, but could nowhere find any randomised controlled trial that can prove efficacy against HIV.

Both products are not licensed for treatment of HIV-infection in Europe.
