Can I take prednisone with ARVs?

I’ve got recurring parotitis, was using antibiotics and prednisone with good effect. I started ARVs 2 weeks ago, now symptoms are recurring, is it safe to use prednisone with ARVs?

Some ARVs do have interactions with prednisone that can require a change in the dose you need. Without knowing which ARVs you are taking I can’t say for sure if there will be an interaction. The best thing to do is to check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking prednisone as they will be able to check this and make any changes required.
Hi Lungile, there are no interactions between TLD and steroids. You didn’t say which steroids or why? It is good for your doctors to know about all meds.
