Should I go to the HIV clinic or swine flu centre?

A person who is HIV+ thinks he has swine flu. Should he go to GUM/HIV clinic or to the swine flu treatment centre? Thanks.
Answer
You should phone either of those. If your CD4 count is high, then perhaps you should talk to your GP on the phone and let him/her assess whether you have swine flu or a different condition.
If your CD4, however is low, then a phone call to your HIV treatment provider may be better as they will be able to assess to what extent this may lead to complications with your HIV-infection.
