Access to HIV treatment for UK prisoners
The British HIV Association (BHIVA) has been notified of a number of incidents where individuals sent to prison for relatively short terms have not received their ART.
These incidents have been raised with Dr O’Moore in Offender Health at the Health Protection Agency. The Executive Committee is keen to ascertain whether these cases are part of a wider problem.
