I’m 35 weeks pregnant and want to stop talking meds. The reason is that I vomit a lot at lot. At the moment my viral load is 81.
Answer
Thanks for getting in touch.
The simply answer to your question is yes. If you want to ensure that there is minimal risk to your child you need to continue taking meds. If you don’t your viral load is going to rise, this will put your child at risk. It will also mean that your HIV won’t be under control. If you’re having issues with your meds, please talk to your doctor about this.
